The MidSouth Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church is pleased to announce that Rev. Sarah-Kate Cox will begin serving as our new Director of Communications on November 1, 2026.
Rev. Cox brings more than eight years of executive ministry leadership experience, along with significant experience supporting nonprofit and ministry organizations through communications strategy, digital content, social media, website management, graphic design, and project coordination. Her previous service as a senior pastor also provided extensive experience communicating organizational vision, coordinating staff and volunteers, and bringing people together around a shared mission.
Rev. Cox is an ordained elder in the MidSouth Conference. She holds a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School and a Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University. She and her husband, Rev. Joe Cox, who serves as pastor of Campbellsville First Methodist Church, are the parents of three children. Her combination of ministry leadership, communications expertise, creativity, and organizational skill will serve the conference well as we seek to communicate the mission, ministry, and work of the MidSouth clearly and effectively.
We are grateful for the gifts Rev. Sarah-Kate Cox brings to this position and look forward to her service among us. Please join us in warmly welcoming her to the MidSouth Conference staff team.
