The MidSouth Conference of the Global Methodist Church joyfully welcomes Bishop Lyndol Loyd as he begins a new season of ministry among the churches and people of Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, beginning November 1, 2026.

Bishop Loyd will tour the conference November 7–11, 2026, offering opportunities for worship, fellowship, conversation, and a shared look toward the future of ministry in the MidSouth.

A native of Wheeler, Texas, Bishop Loyd sensed a call to ordained ministry while attending Texas Tech University. He earned his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Asbury Theological Seminary, where he now serves on the Board of Trustees.

His ministry has included pastoral leadership, campus ministry, church planting, leadership development, and theological education. He has planted churches in Arkansas and Florida, mentored pastors and ministry leaders, and helped form the West Plains Conference of the Global Methodist Church. Most recently, he served as lead pastor of LakeRidge Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas.

β€œI’m deeply honored and humbled to serve as bishop of the MidSouth Annual Conference,” Bishop Loyd said. β€œWe are grateful that God has entrusted us with the opportunity to partner with you in ministry and to share together in the mission of spreading scriptural holiness across the land.”

He added, β€œEven before we have had the opportunity to meet many of you, please know that you are already in our hearts and in our regular prayers.”
