Announcement: MidSouth Dean of the Cabinet

by Rev. Amy Carlson • Published Tuesday, September 16, 2025

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Chuck Griffin, pastor of Holston View Methodist Church in Weber City, VA, has been appointed by Bishop Kenneth Levingston as the Dean of the Cabinet for the MidSouth Annual Conference. He also serves as the Presiding Elder of the Kingsport District, a position he has held since the establishment of the MidSouth Conference of the Global Methodist Church.

Rev. Griffin graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2005 with a Master of Divinity. He also worked in journalism and public relations for several years and is a 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

The last chapter of the Gospel of John is Rev. Griffin’s favorite Bible story with its powerful account of God’s abundant grace and desire to restore the broken. He has been married to his wife Connie for 37 years, and together they have three adult children and one grandson. We are honored to have Rev. Griffin continue in leadership within the MidSouth and to expand that into this role as Dean of the Cabinet. His wisdom, humility, and eye for detail will be a blessing to us all as we continue to expand the Global Methodist Church.
