Presiding Elder Rev. Devin Schultz, who serves the Tazewell District in Virginia, will retire from his Presiding Elder duties at the end of February 2026. We want to take this time to thank Rev. Shultz for his dedication to the pastors and local congregations he has cared for during his time on the MidSouth Cabinet, and for his continued pursuit of the Global Methodist mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe. You will be missed, and we pray over what God is calling you to next. In the interim, Rev. Chuck Griffin, the Dean of the MidSouth Cabinet, will serve as interim Presiding Elder for the Tazewell District until a new Presiding Elder is named, and a subsequent announcement will be shared.
