Elizabethtown District

We are pleased to announce that Rev. Jerry Pile, pastor of Woodlawn Methodist Church in Bardstown, KY, has been appointed by Bishop Kenneth Levingston as Presiding Elder of the Elizabethtown District of the MidSouth Annual Conference. Jerry succeeds Rev. Sue Eaton who serves the MidSouth Annual Conference in many capacities as a faithful witness for Christ. We lift her and her ministry work up in prayer.

Jerry served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church from 2012-2023. On September 16, 2023, he was ordained as an Elder in the Global Methodist Church. He completed his Course of Study through the Appalachian Local Pastor School in 2012. Prior to that, he received his Master’s degree in Occupational Training and Development from the University of Louisville, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University, and an Associate’s degree in Business Management from Lindsey Wilson College.

In the secular world, Jerry spent most of his career in Organizational Development, working with senior management with the goal of increasing organizational effectiveness. Jerry also developed his own leadership development company, utilizing his certifications in various learning and personality assessments. He also was an adjunct instructor and taught in college for over 20 years.

Currently, he is serving as the pastor at Woodlawn Methodist Church in Bardstown and a member of the Board of Ministry. He enjoys watching most sports (especially college), traveling, spending time with family, and studying scripture. He and his wife, Cindy, have been married 37 years and have two sons, a daughter in law, and one granddaughter.
