God is on the Move: On Mission in Peru

TMS Global is one of our GMC approved mission efforts that the MidSouth Conference supports. In preparation for 2024 Annual Conference, we all had the chance to get-to-know several missionaries working globally as we rallied around them in financial support. Two of those missionaries are Tim & Jennifer Goshorn whose mission work in Peru is in connection with TMS Global. The mission of TMS Global is “to mobilize and deploy the body of Christ globally to join Jesus in His mission, especially among the least-reached peoples.”
This is exactly what Tim and Jennifer are doing as they work with refugees, asylum-seekers, and others needing international protection. Huancayo, a city in the Andes Mountains, is where they live and work while building relationships, leading Kid’s Clubs and Bible studies, participating in ministry with an orphanage and prison, as well as leading medical mission trips into the jungle. The MidSouth Conference would like to share an article detailing the journey of their experience as we gather around them in prayer and support. Read the article about Tim & Jennifer Goshorn HERE and learn more about TMS Global.
In the coming weeks and months you can expect to hear more from the various missions and missionaries that the MidSouth Conference supports. Our hope is that we can journey with them in prayer, in support, and experience a connection with their efforts that highlights the work of the traveling missionary into our daily lives. Let us be reminded that we are a Global Methodist Church actively engaged in making disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
