Join us for this Mission & Evangelism Course Certified Lay Minister course on May 2 & 16, 12:00 pm – 4:o0 pm EST. This course will examine the theology of evangelism and its application across multiple contexts with particular focus on,
- Wesleyan Theology of Evangelism
- Effective Evangelism in Small Town and Rural Settings
- Effective Evangelism in Urban Settings
- World Missions
- Volunteers in Mission Teams
- The Ethics of Evangelism & Missions
- Disciple Making on Local and Foreign Fields
- How to Present the Gospel
Course Requirements: Attending all the lectures. Reading the texts and writing a 3 to 5-page book review on each one. Book Reviews shall use the following structure:
- Is the author qualified to write in this area? Why or why not?
- Summary of the book. Main points.
- Strengths and weaknesses of the book.
- Do you think this book will be helpful in your ministry? Why or why not?
- Book reviews are due within 2 weeks following the class (Due May 30). Send them to rfdmin@gmail.com
CLM Course Credits: The Certified Lay Minister status is a lay status granted to individuals who feel called to serve in the local church and beyond, though not in a clergy role. The Mission & Evangelism Course will be considered a foundational course for the Certified Lay Minister certification. You can learn more about the Certified Lay Minister program here.
