Newsletter Branding On Mission

The MidSouth Communications Team continues to expand its offerings and focus on the initiative of connecting with laity and clergy of local churches across Kentucky, Middle and East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, parts of West Virginia, and a few counties in North Georgia. Since the MidSouth’s founding as a provisional annual conference, the email newsletter has been a staple of the conference, first created in 2022 by then-Administrative Assistant Jessie Mansfield. Each month, this publication has been sent to share details about upcoming events and information.

As the conference grows, so does the need for communications, and to meet this demand, the email newsletter has received a focused branding under the care of the Director of Communications, Rev. Amy Carlson. MidSouth On Mission is the newly launched name for the email newsletter that reminds us of our Global Methodist initiative “to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.” Here we will share greetings from conference leadership to hear their voice of direction, recently published articles, upcoming events, and stories across the MidSouth. It is our hope and goal that the local church of the MidSouth will find this a helpful resource to further connect with the mission and ministry of the annual conference in conjunction with the expansion of the Global Methodist Church.
