SUMMARY:Laity Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The MidSouth Annual Conference Lay Connectional Team invites all laity\, including clergy\, to attend the Laity Meeting\, for prayer and worship\, on April 10th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the West End Methodist Church in Wytheville\, VA.  This event is free and no registration is needed. \nPresiding Elder\, Rev. Daniel Fulton\, will lead a session on the GMC Articles of Faith. Music will be led by Natalie Drummond and Presiding Elder\, Rev. Dina Clower. Fielden Sanders\, local church lay leader\, will do the welcome. It is expected that other laity will lead scriptural readings\, devotions\, and lead prayer at different times during the day. Other program participants will be identified as we get closer to the program. \nThe church will be opened at 8 a.m. that morning\, and breakfast refreshments will be provided. There will also be a mid-morning break with refreshments. Childcare will be provided for infants to 4 years old. SUMMARY:MidSouth Summer Youth Camp
DESCRIPTION:A 5-day summer camp that MidSouth youth will not want to miss! This 2027 summer camp\, June 28 to July 2\, is for rising 5th graders through 12th grade at Kentucky Mountain Bible College in Jackson\, Kentucky. Each day\, youth will come together for worship to connect with their peers\, grow in their faith\, and get outdoors for games and activities. Youth can expect activities such as ropes courses\, archery\, water activities\, firearms (age 16 and older)\, and much more. \nWhat is the cost? \nThe fee is $350 per camper and includes food\, lodging\, and activities. Need financial assistance? We have that\, too\, with our available camperships! A $25 minimum payment is due upon registration\, with the option to set up payment installments. A separate registration form must be completed for each camper\, as registration includes the permission and waiver forms for the parent to sign. \nWhat do I need to pack? \nA shortlist for packing includes: \n\nClothes that can get dirty.\nClothes that can get wet in water activities (modesty will be observed).\nA comfortable pair of shoes for play and walking.\nA pair of shoes that can get wet.\nBedding including a pillow\, sheets\, and blanket.\nTowel for showering\, plus personal toiletries.\nA Bible\, notebook\, and pencil.\nExtra cash\, if desired\, to purchase snacks from the snack shack.\n\nAny other details to know? \n\nMONDAY DROP-OFF: June 28th\nFRIDAY PICK-UP: July 2nd\n\nParents are responsible for transporting youth to and from camp. \nQuestions?
