Building Connections: Strengthening Youth and Children’s Ministries

The landscape of youth and children’s ministry is vibrant, full of energy, and deeply rewarding. However, leading in these areas can also feel isolating at times. Whether organizing a summer camp, planning weekly lessons, or navigating the unique challenges of modern family ministry, leaders thrive best when they have a community of peers cheering them on.

To foster this vital support system, the MidSouth Conference is actively working to establish dedicated networks of youth and children’s ministry leaders.

Why Join the Network?

These regional networks are designed to be a lifeline and a hub for anyone guiding the next generation. By bringing leaders together, the initiative aims to:

*Foster Connection: Build meaningful relationships with nearby leaders who share the exact same passions and joys.

*Share Ideas & Resources: Exchange proven curriculum recommendations, event planning tips, and creative ministry strategies to elevate local programs.

*Offer Mutual Encouragement: Provide a safe, uplifting space to share struggles, celebrate victories, and pray for one another in ministry.

Who Should Participate?

We want to ensure that every single voice is included, regardless of their official title or hours worked. We are looking for:

*Full-time and part-time paid ministry staff

*Dedicated volunteer coordinators and committee chairs

*Passionate weekly leaders who steer youth or children’s programs

How to Get Involved?

If you or someone in your congregation serves in a leadership capacity for youth or children’s ministry, we want to get you connected. Please submit the following contact details for our leadership roster to Jennifer McCall, Administrative Assistant for the MidSouth Conference, at jmccall@midsouthgmc.org.

By uniting our leaders across the MidSouth Conference, we can share the joys of ministry and ensure no one pours into our young people on an empty cup. Thank you for your continued dedication to nurturing the faith of our children and youth!
